The Witz Story
Witz Jewelry Design started with a vision, passion, and some serious hustle. Already a professionally trained bench jeweler at 23, Witz designer and founder, Amanda, took her expertise in traditional artisan craftsmanship and leveled up her skills with innovative techniques, teaching herself the ins and outs of CAD and 3D printing. This mash-up of old-school, time-honored craft and new-school tech allowed her to bring a new facet of custom designs to life, offering uniquely personal pieces for discerning customers.
The Resist-Wear Revolution
Amanda quickly realized that people were hungry to express their individuality, and that custom jewelry could be a powerful medium for self-expression and activism. The brand's evolution into a movement was catalyzed by its now-iconic IUD pendent, a fierce, yet irreverent symbol for reproductive rights and bodily autonomy. A viral Tik-Tok sensation featured in Man Repeller and Cosmopolitan, this piece would inspire an entire line of feminist “resist-wear”: jewelry that becomes a tangible, wearable statement that speaks truth to power without having to say a word. Beyond an aesthetic choice, a portion of Witz’s resist-wear proceeds go directly to Planned Parenthood to support our continued access to reproductive care.
